Understand Property Website Analytics

Understand visitors, traffic sources, engagement, devices, and lead conversion.

Property Website analytics show how buyers find the site, which content they view, and how visits turn into inquiries.

Open a website and select Analytics.

Choose a date range

Use 7 days, 30 days, or 90 days to change the reporting period. All cards and charts update to the selected range.

Select Export report to download the available daily analytics data.

Read the headline metrics

  • Visitors — distinct measured visitors during the selected period.
  • Page views — total measured visits to the website pages or views.
  • Avg. time on site — average measured time per visit.
  • Leads captured — valid inquiries saved during the period.

When enough earlier data exists, ApplyDesign compares the selected period with the immediately preceding period of the same length. No comparison means there is not enough earlier data for a meaningful trend.

Visitor and page-view totals are different: one visitor can create several views. <Screenshot: Analytics overview showing the date-range selector, Export report action, and Visitors, Page views, Avg. time on site, and Leads captured cards.>

Visitors over time

The chart plots daily unique visitors. Point to a date to see that day’s visitors, views, and leads.

The daily values may add up to more than the headline Visitors total because the same person can visit on several days but still count once in the period total. <Screenshot: Visitors over time chart with a date hovered so visitors, views, and leads appear in the tooltip.>

Traffic sources

Traffic sources show how visitors reached the site. Categories can include:

  • Direct.
  • Organic search.
  • Social.
  • Email.
  • Listing referral.
  • Other referral.

Some browsers and privacy tools do not share a referrer, so those visits appear as Direct.

Top pages and sections

This card shows which website sections received measured views, such as the Hero, Overview, Gallery, Agents, or Contact section.

Use it to understand what buyers are exploring. A low section count can also mean the section was hidden or added only recently. <Screenshot: Analytics cards for Traffic sources and Top pages and sections with representative values and labels visible.>

Devices

The device chart groups measured traffic into categories such as Desktop, Mobile, Tablet, or Other.

Use the result to guide your preview checks. For example, if most visitors use phones, review the Phone preview before each publish. <Screenshot: Devices card showing Desktop, Mobile, Tablet, and Other traffic distribution.>

From visit to lead

The funnel shows measured progress through key actions:

  1. Visited the site.
  1. Viewed the gallery.
  1. Started a form.
  1. Became a lead.

Each percentage compares one stage with the preceding measured stage. Lead storage is more reliable than browser tracking, so privacy tools or blocked analytics can occasionally produce more saved leads than measured form starts. ApplyDesign labels this as Tracking incomplete instead of showing a misleading conversion percentage. <Screenshot: Visit-to-lead funnel showing Visited, Gallery viewed, Form started, and Lead stages, including a Tracking incomplete state.>

Why analytics can be empty or delayed

Analytics may be empty when:

  • The website was published recently.
  • Nobody has opened the live site during the selected range.
  • Visitor tracking is disabled for the environment or account.
  • Visitors block measurement or use privacy features.
  • You are viewing editor traffic, which is not counted as public traffic.
  • The newest events have not finished processing yet.

Leads can still appear even when visitor analytics are incomplete because valid inquiries are stored separately.

Email reports

When email reports are available for the account, choose Weekly or Monthly, add up to the displayed recipient limit, and save the schedule. Choose Paused to stop future report emails.

The page clearly states when report email delivery is not enabled for the current environment. Your on-screen analytics remain available. <Screenshot: Analytics email-report settings showing Weekly, Monthly, and Paused options plus recipient fields and Save.>

Third-party tracking

ApplyDesign’s website analytics are always managed on the Analytics page. You can optionally add a Google Analytics 4 measurement ID or Meta Pixel ID in Settings → Tracking & integrations.

Those third-party tools start on the next publish and display a cookie-consent banner. Nothing is measured by those tools until the visitor accepts the applicable consent choice. <Screenshot: Settings → Tracking & integrations showing the GA4 measurement ID, Meta Pixel ID, and consent-related publishing notice.>
