Publishing turns the current private draft into a new live website version. ApplyDesign keeps the previous live version available until the new version is completely stored and activated.
Publish the website
- Confirm that the editor status says Saved.
- Select Preview and review the page on desktop and phone sizes.
- Select Publish.
- Review the changes and destinations in the Publish dialog.
- On the first publish, confirm the suggested ApplyDesign hosted address.
- Select Publish site. If the site has multiple live destinations, the button shows how many domains will be updated.
The ApplyDesign hosted address is always included. An active custom domain and an MLS-compliant version, when enabled, are updated in the same publish. <Screenshot: Publish dialog showing the ApplyDesign hosted address, custom-domain and MLS destinations when enabled, plus the Publish site button.>

What happens during publishing
ApplyDesign:
- Saves the latest draft.
- Builds a complete new website version.
- Stores the new version.
- Activates it at every ready destination.
Do not refresh while the Publish dialog is working. When publishing succeeds, use Open to visit the website or Done to close the dialog.
If activation takes longer than expected, the previous live version remains available. The Settings page shows that the new version is still activating while ApplyDesign retries. <Screenshot: Publish progress dialog showing destination-by-destination status and the Open and Done actions after success.>

Important: Editing and autosaving do not change the public website. Visitors see the new content only after a successful publish.
Publish updates later
Return to the editor, make changes, wait for Saved, and publish again. Every successful publish creates another version.
You can also select Publish from the website’s Settings page. It opens the same destination and progress dialog as the editor.
View and restore published versions
Open Settings, then select History to see the published versions and their dates. <Screenshot: Settings → History showing published versions, dates, the currently live version, and a Restore action.>

Restoring an older version:
- Copies that version into the current draft.
- Publishes it as a new version.
- Keeps the complete version history.
- Keeps the live website unchanged until the restored version is ready.
Use the ApplyDesign hosted address
Every published website includes an ApplyDesign address. You can edit the hosted subdomain in Settings → Destinations.
After changing it:
- Select Save address.
- Publish the website to apply the address to the live version.
Choose a short, recognizable address based on the property. Use lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. <Screenshot: Settings → Destinations showing the ApplyDesign hosted address field, availability state, and Save address action.>

Buy a domain through ApplyDesign
When domain purchasing is available for your account:
- Open Settings → Destinations.
- Select Find a domain.
- Search for the address or another short name.
- Use the preferred-extension choices to compare
.comand.site, or search another extension.
- Select an available result.
- Review the exact domain, current term, price, and registration policies.
- Select Continue to payment and complete checkout.
After payment, the progress row moves through Payment, Registering, Setting up, and Live. Registration and certificate setup can take time; you may leave the page and return later.
Domain names are always displayed in lowercase. Confirm the spelling before payment because completed registrations are normally non-refundable. <Screenshot: Domain search and purchase screen with available results, extension choices, selected domain, term, price, and Continue to payment action.>

Renewal policy for domains purchased through ApplyDesign
Registration covers the current paid term only. ApplyDesign does not renew the domain or charge you again without a new payment.
The Manage dialog shows the paid-through date and renewal status. If it says the renewal safety check needs attention, contact ApplyDesign support before the paid-through date.
Connect a domain you already own
When owner-supplied domains are available for your account:
- Open Settings → Destinations.
- Choose the option to connect a domain.
- Enter the full hostname, such as
listing.example.com.
- Copy the exact DNS records shown by ApplyDesign into your domain provider’s DNS settings.
- Return to ApplyDesign and select Check DNS or Re-check DNS.
The setup may pass through separate ownership, DNS, and certificate checks. The domain is not marked Live until all required checks succeed.
You continue to own and renew a connected domain with your registrar. ApplyDesign only connects it to this property website. <Screenshot: Connect existing domain setup showing the required DNS records, current verification statuses, and the Check DNS action.>

Tip: DNS changes can take time to appear around the internet. Do not remove the records while the domain is pending.
Which address opens when you select View site?
If an active custom domain exists, View site opens that domain. Otherwise it opens the ApplyDesign hosted address.
The hosted address remains available as a recovery address even when a custom domain is active.
Share the live website
Open Settings → Share your listing to:
- Copy the direct website link.
- Share to Facebook, X, LinkedIn, or email.
- Copy the displayed embed code into a website that accepts iframes.
- Download a printable QR code for signs, brochures, and property materials.
Always share the live address rather than an editor or preview URL. <Screenshot: Share your listing panel showing Copy link, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, email, embed code, and QR-code download options.>
