Use Settings to manage publishing, website addresses, search and social previews, sharing, tracking, and the website lifecycle.
Open My Websites, select a website, then select Settings.
Check the website status
The Status card shows what’s currently live and when it was published.
- Live — the displayed version is available to visitors.
- Draft — the website has not been published.
- Unpublished — the website is offline but remains editable.
- Archived — the website is offline and read-only until restored.
- Sold — the listing is marked sold.
- Pending deletion — public access has stopped and deletion is scheduled.
- Expired — publishing is unavailable until the account or website is renewed.
Use Publish to push draft changes live, View site to open the preferred live address, and History to review published versions.
Change the design
The Design card shows the current template and how many template changes remain.
Select Change template to compare designs. Changing the template keeps property facts, photos, and contact details, then updates the layout and regenerated copy. Review the result in the editor before publishing.
Update property details
Use Property Details to update core listing information such as address, city, region/state, postal code, price display, and price. These changes are saved to the draft and won’t be visible to the public until you Publish again.
Manage website addresses
Destinations shows:
- The always-included ApplyDesign hosted address.
- Active or pending custom domains.
- Registration, DNS, and certificate status.
- A Re-check DNS option for connected domains.
Hosted-address limits:
- You can change the hosted subdomain at most once every 7 days.
- You can make up to 3 changes per rolling 30 days.
- The old hosted address redirects to the new one for 30 days.
Control search and social previews
Use Search & social to edit:
- Page title — a clear listing title within the displayed character limit.
- Meta description — a short listing summary within the displayed limit.
- Allow search engines to index this site — turn this off to keep the listing out of Google and Bing results.
The Google and Facebook previews update while you type. Save, then publish again to update the live metadata. Search engines decide when to recrawl pages, so their results may update later.
Share the listing
Use Share your listing to copy the live link, open social sharing options, copy the embed code, or download a QR code.
When a custom domain is active, View site opens it. Confirm the final URL before printing signs or brochures.
Add third-party tracking
Use Tracking & integrations to add a Google Analytics 4 measurement ID or a Meta Pixel ID.
Tracking changes take effect after the next publish. When either ID is present, the public website asks for cookie consent. Google Analytics starts in denied-consent mode, and Meta Pixel doesn’t load until consent is granted.
Leave both fields empty if you don’t want third-party tracking or the consent banner. ApplyDesign’s own visitor and lead reporting remains available (when enabled for the account).
Take the website offline
Select Take offline to remove the website from the web while keeping it editable. Drafts, versions, addresses, domain setup, leads, and analytics remain available. Publish again when you’re ready to put the website back online.
Archive or delete the website
Choose Archive to keep a website while preventing editing and publishing. Visitors see an unavailable page, while content, history, leads, analytics, and domains remain stored. Restore returns it to the Unpublished state—then publish to make it live again.
Choose Delete site only if the website (and any retained data) should be permanently removed after the displayed retention period. Public access stops immediately. Use Cancel deletion during the retention period if you change your mind.
Important: After the retention period and final purge, the website, versions, leads, and analytics can’t be recovered.
