Get Off to a Good Start with the Right Proportions
Room Scale
One of the first things you should do when designing a room is to ensure that the first piece of furniture you place is properly scaled. There are two ways of defining the scale of a room.
Option 1: Set the room scale by defining real-world measurements. Define the ceiling height of your image by selecting Measurement under Room Scale in the Tool Bar, this will allow you to set the room scale by defining real-world measurements. To set your measurements, click on the uppermost point on your image (where the ceiling and walls meet) and drag the measuring line to the lowermost point on your image (where the floor and wall meet).
Option 2: If the furniture looks too large or too small for the room select Room Scale in the Tool Bar, this will allow you to adjust the overall scale to get the right proportions of the furniture and the surroundings.
Once youโve adjusted the Room Scale the remaining items placed will be added to your design in the proper proportion. Room Scale will allow you to change the scale of all items in the room at once, but be aware that changing the room scale later in the design can lead to unexpected results.
Advanced Furniture Scale
You can use the Advanced Scale feature to scale a single item on a single axis. It can be useful for curtains and beds in order to make fine adjustments to get the perfect composition.
